Bad Moon Rising
Throughout the years, Karen has participated in many juried art shows, winning awards at many of the shows.
While living in Hawaii, she won the prestigious Honolulu Mayor’s Award for Excellence and Creativity in Painting for Honor the Voyagers.
Most recently she was awarded “Best Hard Edge” for her painting Bad Moon Rising in the juried abstract show at the Falmouth Art Center.
Karen was awarded a grant from the Cape Cod Art Foundation – and is the only artist ever to have received grants funded from the Figawi charity – in order to create a large stylized sculpture of the American flag for the Cape Cod Centennial celebration in 2014.
